The very lovely Duffy is already picking up comparisons to fellow UK songstress Amy Winehouse, and to 60s soul legend Dusty Springfield. She’s certainly got the voice for it, and has performed on Jools Holland’s show and is a favourite of Radio 1 DJ Jo Whiley. After relocated from Wales to London in 2006, she’s been working on her debut album with Bernard Butler (to be released on Polydor in March 2008).
From BBC: She is: A Welsh soul singer who has been dubbed the new Dusty Springfield.

With her classic style and rousing vocals, she could have stepped straight out of a grainy 1960s music TV show.
